28 And he went and found his body thrown in the road, and the donkey and the lion standing beside the body. The lion had not eaten the body or torn the donkey.

and suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken. And immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone’s bonds were unfastened.


Because the king’s order was urgent and the furnace overheated, the flame of the fire killed those men who took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.


and said, ‘Thus far shall you come, and no farther, and here shall your proud waves be stayed’?


And the ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning, and bread and meat in the evening, and he drank from the brook.


You shall drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.”


So they came near and carried them in their coats out of the camp, as Moses had said.


And fire came out from before the Lord and consumed them, and they died before the Lord.


And he said to his sons, “Saddle the donkey for me.” And they saddled it.


And the prophet took up the body of the man of God and laid it on the donkey and brought it back to the city to mourn and to bury him.
