Zechariah 9:3
16 পৰস্পৰ সংযোগসমূহ

Which by thy merchandise that went from thee by sea didst fill many people: which by the multitude of thy riches, and of thy people didst enrich the kings of the earth?

If he shall heap together silver as earth, and prepare raiment as clay,

They passed near the walls of Tyre, and all the land of the Hevite, and the Chanaanite: and they came to the south of Juda into Bersabee.

And it returneth to Horma to the strong city of Tyre, and to Hosa: and the outgoings thereof shall be at the sea from the portion of Achziba.

Who hath taken this counsel against Tyre, that was formerly crowned, whose merchants were princes, and her traders the nobles of the earth?

He shall give for earth flint, and for flint torrents of gold.

And he made silver to be as plentiful in Jerusalem as stones: and cedars to be as common as sycamores which grow in the plains.

Moreover all the vessels, out of which king Solomon drank, were of gold: and all the furniture of the house of the forest of Libanus was of most pure gold: there was no silver, nor was any account made of it in the days of Solomon.

He stretched out his hand over the sea: he troubled kingdoms. The Lord hath given a charge against Chanaan, to destroy the strong ones thereof.

They shall waste thy riches, they shall make a spoil of thy merchandise, and they shall destroy thy walls and pull down thy fine houses: and they shall lay thy stones and thy timber and thy dust in the midst of the waters.

Now thou art destroyed by the sea, thy riches are in the bottom of the waters, and all the multitude that was in the midst of thee is fallen.

Or with princes, that possess gold, and fill their houses with silver:

Thy riches and thy treasures and thy manifold furniture, thy mariners and thy pilots who kept thy goods and were chief over thy people. Thy men of war also that were in thee, with all thy multitude that is in the midst of thee shall fall in the heart of the sea in the day of thy ruin.

Thus saith the Lord: For three crimes of Tyre, and for four I will not convert it: because they have shut up an entire captivity in Edom, and have not remembered the covenant of brethren.
