Zechariah 7:7 - Douay-Rheims version of The Bible - 1752 version
7 Are not these the words which the Lord spoke by the hand of the former prophets, when Jerusalem as yet was inhabited, and was wealthy, both itself and the cities round about it, and there were inhabitants towards the south, and in the plain?
7 Should ye not hear the words which the LORD hath cried by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and the cities thereof round about her, when men inhabited the south and the plain?
7 Should you not hear the words which the Lord cried by the former prophets when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity with her cities round about her, and the South (the Negeb) and the lowlands were inhabited?
7 Should ye not hear the words which Jehovah cried by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and the cities thereof round about her, and the South and the lowland were inhabited?
7 Weren’t these the words that the LORD proclaimed through the former prophets when Jerusalem was dwelling quietly along with the surrounding cities, and when the arid southern plain and the western foothills were inhabited?
7 Are not these the words that the Lord has spoken by the hand of the former prophets, when Jerusalem was still inhabited, so that it would prosper, itself and the cities around it, and those inhabitants towards the South and in the plains?
And they shall come from the cities of Juda and from the places round about Jerusalem and from the land of Benjamin and from the plains and from the mountains and from the south, bringing holocausts and victims and sacrifices and frankincense: and they shall bring in an offering into the house of the Lord.
Fields shall be bought for money, and deeds shall be written and sealed, and witnesses shall be taken, in the land of Benjamin and round about Jerusalem, in the cities of Juda and in the cities on the mountains and in the cities of the plains and in the cities that are towards the south: for I will bring their captivity, saith the Lord.
But this thing I commanded them, saying: Hearken to my voice, and I will be your God and you shall be my people. And walk ye in all the way that I have commanded you, that it may be well with you.
And in the cities on the mountains and in the cities of the plains and in the cities that are towards the south: and in the land of Benjamin and round about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Juda shall the flocks pass again under the hand of him that numbereth them, saith the Lord.
And they made their heart as the adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the Lord of hosts sent in his spirit by the hand of the former prophets: so a great indignation came from the Lord of hosts.
