Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath judged your judgment on her.


And my enemy shall behold, and she shall be covered with shame, who saith to me: Where is the Lord thy God? My eyes shall look down upon her: now shall she be trodden under foot as the mire of the streets.


Come let us praise the Lord with joy: let us joyfully sing to God our saviour.


Send forth thy light and thy truth: they have conducted me, and brought me unto thy holy hill, and into thy tabernacles.


And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, who have stretched forth my hand upon Egyp; and have brought forth the children of Israel out of the midst of them.


And I will take you to myself for my people. I will be your God: and you shall know that I am the Lord your God, who brought you out from the work prison of the Egyptians.


Revenge not yourselves, my dearly beloved; but give place unto wrath, for it is written: Revenge is mine, I will repay, saith the Lord.


Between the porch and the altar the priests the Lord's ministers shall weep, and shall say: Spare, O Lord, spare thy people: and give not thy inheritance to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them. Why should they say among the nations: Where is their God?


And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the Gentiles, which you have profaned in the midst of them: that the Gentiles may know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord of hosts, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.


The wrong done to me and my flesh be upon Babylon, saith the habitation of Sion: and my blood upon the inhabitants of Chaldea, saith Jerusalem.


I will rejoice in thy salvation: the Gentiles have stuck fast in the destruction which they have prepared. Their foot hath been taken in the very snare which they hid.


Praise his people, ye nations; for he will revenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to their enemies: and he will be merciful to the land of his people.


And I will go in to the altar of God: to God who giveth joy to my youth.


[O] THAT thou wouldst rend the heavens and wouldst come down. The mountains would melt away at thy presence.


And I will render to Babylon and to all the inhabitants of Chaldea all their evil, that they have done in Sion, before your eyes, saith the Lord.


Thau. Let all their evil be present before thee: and make vintage of them, as thou hast made vintage of me for all my iniquities: for my sighs are many and my heart is sorrowful.
