Psalm 31:1

For the scripture saith: Whosoever believeth in him, shall not be confounded.


Prove me, O Lord, and try me; burn my reins and my heart.


A psalm of David against Goliath. Blessed be the Lord my God, who teacheth my hands to fight, and my fingers to war.


And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and queens thy nurses. They shall worship thee with their face toward the earth: and they shall lick up the dust of thy feet. And thou shalt know that I am the Lord: for they shall not be confounded that wait for him.


Unto the end, for the sons of Core, to give understanding.


And hope confoundeth not: because the charity of God is poured forth in our hearts, by the Holy Ghost, who is given to us.
