Psalm 141:5
23 পৰস্পৰ সংযোগসমূহ

The heart of the wise is where there is mourning, and the heart of fools where there is mirth.

Such as I love, I rebuke and chastise. Be zealous therefore, and do penance.

As an earring of gold and a bright pearl, so is he that reproveth the wise, and the obedient ear.

The wicked man being; scourged, the fool shall be wiser: but if thou rebuke a wise man he will understand discipline.

A fool laugheth at the instruction of his father: but he that regardeth reproofs shall become prudent. In abundant justice there is the greatest strength: but the devices of the wicked shall be rooted out.

And when he spoke these things, he answered him: Art thou the king's counsellor? Be quiet, lest I kill thee. And the prophet departing said: I know that God is minded to kill thee, because thou hast done this evil, and moreover hast not hearkened to my counsel.

Because the commandment is a lamp, and the law a light, and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

Turn again our captivity, O Lord, as a stream in the south.

He shall receive a blessing from the Lord, and mercy from God his Saviour.

But I say to you, Love your enemies: do good to them that hate you: and pray for them that persecute and calumniate you:

Designs are brought to nothing where there is no counsel: but where there are many counsellors, they are established.

Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thy heart: but reprove him openly, lest thou incur sin through him.

He that loveth correction, loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is foolish.
