A wise son maketh the father glad: but a foolish son is the sorrow of his mother.


I was exceeding glad, that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.


For I have had great joy and consolation in thy charity, because the bowels of the saints have been refreshed by thee, brother.


A man that loveth wisdom, rejoiceth his father: but he that maintaineth bar lots, shall squander away his substance.


A wise son maketh a father joyful: but the foolish man despiseth his mother.


And now, O ye kings, understand: receive instruction, you that judge the earth.


The sluggard is wiser in his own conceit, than seven men that speak sentences.


The prudent man seeing evil hideth himself: little ones passing on have suffered losses.
