And Moses swore that he would dwell with him. And he took Sephora his daughter to wife.


And Rebecca said to Isaac: I am weary of my life because of the daughters of Heth. If Jacob take a wife of the stock of this land, I choose not to live.


And my master made me swear, saying: Thou shalt not take a wife for my son of the Chanaanites, in whose land I dwell.


Am I then become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?


For neither did his brethren believe in him.


And as a man's enemies shall be they of his own household.


That I may make thee swear by the Lord the God of heaven and earth, that thou take not a wife for my son of the daughters of the Chanaanites, among whom I dwell:


But a widow or one that is divorced, or defiled, or a harlot, he shall not take: but a maid of his own people.


Neither shalt thou take of their daughters a wife for thy son: lest after they themselves have committed fornication, they make thy sons also to commit fornication with their gods.


And he turned his name, and called him in the Egyptian tongue, The saviour of the world. And he gave him to wife Asenth, the daughter of Putiphare priest of Heliopolis. Then Joseph went out to the land of Egypt:
