And others had trial of mockeries and stripes, moreover also of bands and prisons.


And Sanaballat the Horonite, and Tobias the servant, the Ammonite: heard it, and it grieved them exceedingly, that a man was come, who sought the prosperity of the children of Israel.


Then the high prist rising up, and all they that were with him, (which is the heresy of the Sadducees,) were filled with envy.


But Sanaballat the Horonite, and Tobias the servant, the Ammonite, and Gossem the Arabian heard of it, and they scoffed at us, and despised us, and said: What is this thing that you do? Are you going to rebel against the king?


And platting a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand. And bowing the knee before him, they mocked him, saying: Hail, king of the Jews.


Then Herod perceiving that he was deluded by the wise men, was exceeding angry; and sending killed all the men children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the borders thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men.


But the wall was finished the five and twentieth day of the month of Elul, in two and fifty days.


And it came to pass, when all our enemies heard of it, that all nations which were round about us were afraid: and were cast down within themselves: for they perceived that this work was the work of God.


And one of the sons of Joiada the son of Eliasib the high priest, was son-in-law to Sanaballat the Horonite: and I drove him from me.


And king Sedecias said to Jeremias: I am afraid because of the Jews that are fled over to the Chaldeans: lest I should be delivered into their hands and they should abuse me.
