And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping. And he saith to Peter: Simon, sleepest thou? couldst thou not watch one hour?


And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow.


And he cometh again and findeth them sleeping: for their eyes were heavy.


But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep. And waking, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him.


Peter saith to him: Yea, though I should die with thee, I will not deny thee. And in like manner said all the disciples.


Then he saith to them: My soul is sorrowful even unto death: stay you here, and watch with me.


And the bridegroom tarrying, they all slumbered and slept.


And the king of Israel answering said: Tell him: Let not the girded boast himself as the ungirded.


And betimes in the morning at sun-rising set upon the city. And when he shall come out against thee with his people, do to him what thou shalt be able.


I sleep, and my heart watcheth; the voice of my beloved knocking: Open to me, my sister, my love, my dove, my undefiled: for my head is full of dew, and my locks of the drops of the nights.


Watch ye, and pray that ye enter not into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh weak.
