Matthew 18:24
17 পৰস্পৰ সংযোগসমূহ

My heart grew hot within me: and in my meditation a fire shall flame out.

Therefore calling together every one of his lord's debtors, he said to the first: How much dost thou owe my lord?

Or those eighteen upon whom the tower fell in Siloe, and slew them: think you, that they also were debtors above all the men that dwelt in Jerusalem?

By this I know, that thou hast had a good will for me: because my enemy shall not rejoice over me.

And said: My God, I am confounded and ashamed to lift up my face to thee. For our iniquities are multiplied over our heads; and our sins are grown up even unto heaven,

Then he said to another: And how much dost thou owe? Who said: An hundred quarters of wheat. He said to him: Take thy bill, and write eighty.

And they gave for the works of the house of the Lord: of gold, five thousand talents, and ten thousand solids: of silver, ten thousand talents: and of brass, eighteen thousand talents: and of iron, a hundred thousand talents.

Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened to a king, who would take an account of his servants.

And as he had not wherewith to pay it, his lord commanded that he should be sold, and his wife and children and all that he had, and payment to be made.

And to one he gave five talents, and to another two, and to another one, to every one according to his proper ability: and immediately he took his journey.

And he that had received the five talents, went his way, and traded with the same, and gained other five.

And he that had received the five talents coming, brought other five talents, saying: Lord, thou didst deliver to me five talents, behold I have gained other five over and above.

And he also that had received the two talents came and said: Lord, thou deliveredst two talents to me: behold I have gained other two.

But he that had received the one talent, came and said: Lord, I know that thou art a hard man; thou reapest where thou hast not sown, and gatherest where thou hast not strewed.

And he said to them: Let it be according to your sentence. With whomsoever it shall be found, let him be my servant, and you shall be blameless.
