A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth that which is evil. For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

But the things which proceed out of the mouth, come forth from the heart, and those things defile a man.

A good man out of a good treasure bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of an evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and he stood not in the truth; because truth is not in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father thereof.

For the fool will speak foolish things, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy and speak to the Lord deceitfully, and to make empty the soul of the hungry and take away drink from the thirsty.

You serpents, generation of vipers, how will you flee from the judgment of hell?

And judgment is turned away backward, and justice hath stood far off: because truth hath fallen down in the street and equity could not come in.

O hear my prayer: all flesh shall come to thee.

And seeing many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them: Ye brood of vipers, who hath shewed you to flee from the wrath to come?

He said therefore to the multitudes that went forth to be baptized by him: Ye offspring of vipers, who hath shewed you to flee from the wrath to come?

There is none that calleth upon justice, neither is there any one that judgeth truly: but they trust in a mere nothing and speak vanities. They have conceived labour and brought forth iniquity.

Unto the end, In verses, understanding for David.

Blessed is he whom thou hast chosen and taken to thee: he shall dwell in thy courts. We shall be filled with the good things of thy house; holy is thy temple,

With all watchfulness keep thy heart, because life issueth out from it.

The heart of the wise shall instruct his mouth: and shall add grace to his lips.

Therefore the Lord shell have no joy in their young men: neither shall he have mercy on their fatherless, and widows. For every one is a hypocrite and wicked, and every mouth hath spoken folly. For all this his indignation is not turned away: but his hand is stretched out still.

Or obscenity, or foolish talking, or scurrility, which is to no purpose; but rather giving of thanks.

For in many things we all offend. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man. He is able also with a bridle to lead about the whole body.
