Now she, at the same hour, coming in, confessed to the Lord; and spoke of him to all that looked for the redemption of Israel.


And behold there was a man in Jerusalem named Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel; and the Holy Ghost was in him.


(The same had not consented to their counsel and doings;) of Arimathea, a city of Judea; who also himself looked for the kingdom of God.


And many indeed of them believed, and of honourable women that were Gentiles, and of men not a few.


And after these things, Joseph of Arimathea (because he was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews) besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus. And Pilate gave leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus.


And when it was evening, there came a certain rich man of Arimathea, named Joseph, who also himself was a disciple of Jesus.


And many of the brethren in the Lord, growing confident by my bands, are much more bold to speak the word of God without fear.


But the Jews stirred up religious and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas: and cast them out of their coasts.


And Peter followed him from afar off, even into the court of the high priest; and he sat with the servants at the fire, and warmed himself.


So shall the last be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few chosen.


And many that are first, shall be last: and the last shall be first.


But Pilate wondered that he should be already dead. And sending for the centurion, he asked him if he were already dead.


And behold there was a man named Joseph, who was a counsellor, a good and just man,
