5 Therefore the children of Israel shall bring to the priest their victims, which they kill in the field, that they may be sanctified to the Lord before the door of the tabernacle of the testimony: and they may sacrifice them for peace-offerings to the Lord.

Slanderers have been in thee to shed blood and they have eaten upon the mountains in thee they have committed wickedness in the midst of thee.


And I had brought them into the land for which I lifted up my hand to give it them. They saw every high hill, and every shady tree, and there they sacrificed their victims: and there they presented the provocation of their offerings and there they set their sweet odours and poured forth their libations.


He sacrificed also, and burnt incense in the high places, and on the hills, and under every green tree.


And they made them statues and groves on every high hill, and under every shady tree.

But yet the people sacrificed in the high places: far there was no temple built to the name of the Lord until that day.


And Solomon loved the Lord, walking in the precepts of David his father. Only he sacrificed in the high places, and burnt incense.
