Leviticus 16:2
26 পৰস্পৰ সংযোগসমূহ

And Aaron shall pray upon the horns thereof once a year, with the blood of that which was offered for sin: and shall make atonement upon it in your generations. It shall be most holy to the Lord.

Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holies, every year with the blood of others:

And behold the veil of the temple was rent in two from the top even to the bottom, and the earth quaked, and the rocks were rent.

Nor could the priests stand and minister by reason of the cloud. For the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God.

And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the Lord into its place, into the oracle of the temple into the Holy of Holies under the wings of the cherubims.

And after the second veil, the tabernacle, which is called the holy of holies:

And the Lord said to Moses: Carry back the rod of Aaron into the tabernacle of the testimony, that it may be kept there for a token of the rebellious children of Israel: and that their complaints may cease from me, lest they die.

But do this to them, that they may live, and not die, by touching the holies of holies. Aaron and his sons shall go in, and they shall appoint every man his work: and shall divide the burdens that every man is to carry.

Upon the tenth day of this seventh month shall be the day of atonement. It shall be most solemn, and shall be called holy: and you shall afflict your souls on that day, and shall offer a holocaust to the Lord.

That when the perfumes are put upon the fire, the cloud and vapour thereof may cover the oracle, which is over the testimony, and he may not die.

Day and night shall you remain in the tabernacle observing the watches of the Lord, lest you die. For so it hath been commanded me.

Which we have as an anchor of the soul, sure and firm, and which entereth in even within the veil;

And over it were the cherubims of glory overshadowing the propitiatory: of which it is not needful to speak now particularly.

And the temple was filled with smoke from the majesty of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.

When the camp is to set forward, Aaron and his sons shall go into the tabernacle of the covenant, and the holy of holies, and shall take down the veil that hangeth before the door, and shall wrap up the ark of the testimony in it,

And he built up twenty cubits with boards of cedar at the hinder part of the temple, from the floor to the top: and made the inner house of the oracle to be the holy of holies.

And this shall be an ordinance for ever, that you pray for the children of Israel, and for all their sins once in a year. He did therefore as the Lord had commanded Moses.

But thou and thy sons look ye to the priesthood. And all things that pertain to the service of the altar, and that are within the veil, shall be executed by the priests. If any stranger shall approach, he shall be slain.
