Brethren, and if a man be overtaken in any fault, you, who are spiritual, instruct such a one in the spirit of meekness, considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.


So that on the contrary, you should rather forgive him and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow.


And Peter remembered the word of Jesus which he had said: Before the cock crow, thou wilt deny me thrice. And going forth, he wept bitterly.


He that hideth his sins, shall not prosper: but he that shall confess, and forsake them, shall obtain mercy.


And David said to Nathan: I have sinned against the Lord. And Nathan said to David: The Lord also hath taken away thy sin. Thou shalt not die.


But he acknowledging the gifts, said: She is juster than I; because I did not give her to Sela; my son. However, he knew her no more.


And if it spread, he shall judge him to have the leprosy:


The flesh also and skin that hath been burnt, and after it is healed hath a white or a red scar:


But if the colour of the hair be not changed, nor the blemish lower than the other flesh, and the appearance of the leprosy be somewhat obscure: he shall shut him up seven days,
