And Peter followed him from afar off, even into the court of the high priest; and he sat with the servants at the fire, and warmed himself.


And Simon Peter was standing, and warming himself. They said therefore to him: Art not thou also one of his disciples? He denied it, and said: I am not.


As soon then as they came to land, they saw hot coals lying, and a fish laid thereon, and bread.


And when she had seen Peter warming himself, looking on him she saith: Thou also wast with Jesus of Nazareth.


He that walketh with the wise, shall be wise: a friend of fools shall become like to them.


Blessed is the man who hath not walked in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stood in the way of sinners, nor sat in the chair of pestilence:


Let not my soul go into their counsel, nor my glory be in their assembly: because in their fury they slew a man, and in their selfwill they undermined a wall.


Be not seduced: Evil communications corrupt good manners.


And being let go, they came to their own company, and related all that the chief priests and ancients had said to them.


And when he was come thither, he abode in a cave. And, behold, the word of the Lord came unto him, and he said to him: What dost thou here, Elias?


And his sweat became as drops of blood, trickling down upon the ground.


Judas therefore having received a band of soldiers and servants from the chief priests and the Pharisees, cometh thither with lanterns and torches and weapons.
