Jeremiah 32:31
17 পৰস্পৰ সংযোগসমূহ

And the Lord said: I will remove Juda also from before my face, as I have removed Israel. And I will cast off this city Jerusalem, which I chose, and the house, of which I said: My name shall be there.

Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered together thy children, as the hen doth gather her chickens under her wings, and thou wouldest not?

For they prophesy lies to you: to remove you far from your country and cast you out, and to make you perish.

Moreover Manasses shed also very much innocent blood, till he filled Jerusalem up to the mouth: besides his sins, wherewith he made Juda to sin, to do evil before the Lord.

Heth. Jerusalem hath grievously sinned, therefore is she become unstable: all that honoured her have despised her, because they have seen her shame: but she sighed and turned backward.

Moreover the altar also that was at Bethel, and the high place, which Jeroboam the son of Nabat, who made Israel to sin, had made: both the altar, and the high place he broke down and burnt, and reduced to powder, and burnt the grove.

Therefore, behold, I will take you away, carrying you, and will forsake you and the city which I gave to you and to your fathers, out of my presence.
