And the hand of the Lord was upon Elias: and he girded up his loins and ran before Achab, till he came to Jezrahel.


Wherefore having the loins of your mind girt up, being sober, trust perfectly in the grace which is offered you in the revelation of Jesus Christ,


Let your loins be girt, and lamps burning in your hands.


The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream: and he that hath my word, let him speak my word with truth. What hath the chaff to do with the wheat, saith the Lord?


Thou shalt speak to him all that I command thee; and he shall speak to Pharao, that he let the children of Israel go out of his land.


Gird up thy loins like a man. I will ask thee, and answer thou me.


For I have not spared to declare unto you all the counsel of God.


How I have kept back nothing that was profitable to you, but have preached it to you, and taught you publicly, and from house to house,

And Baruch the son of Nerias did according to all that Jeremias the prophet had commanded him, reading out of the volume the words of the Lord in the house of the Lord.
