ARISE, be enlightened, O Jerusalem: for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.

AND thou shalt say in that day: I will give thanks to thee, O Lord, for thou wast angry with me. Thy wrath is turned away: and thou hast comforted me.

Who is there among you that feareth the Lord, that heareth the voice of his servant, that hath walked in darkness, and hath no light? Let him hope in the name of the Lord and lean upon his God.

Say to the just man that it is well: for he shall eat the fruit of his doings.

There is none among the gods like unto thee, O Lord: and there is none according to thy works.

And he said to them: Go, eat fat meats, and drink sweet wine, and send portions to them that have not prepared for themselves; because it is the holy day of the Lord, and be not sad. For the joy of the Lord is our strength.

To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord and the day of vengeance of our God: to comfort all that mourn:

And my indignation shall rest in thee and my jealousy shall depart from thee: and I will cease and be angry no more.

Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I have cried to thee all the day.

A time to weep, and a time to laugh. A time to mourn, and a time to dance.
