Isaiah 17:2

And I will make Rabbath a stable for camels, and the children of Ammon a couching place for flocks: and you shall know that I am the Lord.


And the carcasses of this people shall be meat for the fowls of the air and for the beasts of the earth, and there shall be none to drive them away.


And the sea coast shall be the resting place of shepherds, and folds for cattle:


And every man shall sit under his vine, and under his fig tree, and there shall be none to make them afraid: for the mouth of the Lord of hosts hath spoken.


From Aroer, which is upon the bank of the torrent Arnon, a town that is situate in a valley, as far as Galaad. There was not a village or city, that escaped our hands: the Lord our God delivered all unto us:


And the sons of Gad built Dibon, and Ataroth, and Aroer,


Stand in the way and look out, O habitation of Aroer: inquire of him that fleeth and say to him that hath escaped: What is done?


And we possessed the land at that time from Aroer, which is upon the bank of the torrent Arnon, unto the half of mount Galaad. And I gave the cities thereof to Ruben and Gad.


And it shall come to pass in that day that a man shall nourish a young cow and two sheep.


And the lambs shall feed according to their order: and strangers shall eat the deserts turned into fruitfulness.


And their border was from Aroer, which is on the bank of the torrent Arnon, and in the midst of the valley of the same torrent: all the plain, that leadeth to Medaba,


Thou shalt rest, and there shall be none to make thee afraid: and many shall entreat thy face.


And for the abundance of milk he shall eat butter: for, butter and honey shall every one eat that shall be left in the midst of the land.


For the strong city shall be desolate: the beautiful city shall be forsaken and shall be left as a wilderness. There the calf shall feed: and there shall he lie down and shall consume its branches.


And they shall bear their confusion, and all the transgressions wherewith they have transgressed against me, when they shall dwell in their land securely fearing no man:


The border of Jaser, and all the cities of Galaad, and half the land of the children of Ammon: as far as Aroer which is over against Rabba.
