Hosea 9:16
10 পৰস্পৰ সংযোগসমূহ

Speak to the house of Israel: Thus saith the Lord God: Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the glory of your realm and the thing that your eyes desire, and for which your soul feareth: your sons, and your daughters, whom you have left, shall fall by the sword.

Therefore, as the tongue of the fire devoureth the stubble, and the heat of the flame consumeth it: so shall their root be as ashes, and their bud shall go up as dust: for they have cast away the law of the Lord of hosts, and have blasphemed the word of the Holy One of Israel.

For behold the day shall come kindled as a furnace: and all the proud, and all that do wickedly shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall set them on fire, saith the Lord of hosts, it shall not leave them root, nor branch.

For they shall sow wind, and reap a whirlwind, there is no standing stalk in it, the bud shall yield no meal; end if it should yield, strangers shall eat it.

Ephraim is under oppression, and broken in judgment: because he began to go after filthiness.

And surely their stock was neither planted, nor sown, nor rooted in the earth. Suddenly he hath blown upon them, and they are withered: and a whirlwind shall take them away as stubble.

Let his roots be dried up beneath: and his harvest destroyed above.

Other seven also, thin and blasted, sprung of the stock.

Without, the sword shall lay them waste, and terror within: both the young man and the virgin, the sucking child with the man in years.
