Genesis 39:10
21 পৰস্পৰ সংযোগসমূহ

But he, in no wise consenting to that wicked act, said to her: Behold, my master hath delivered all things to me, and knoweth not what he hath in his own house.

Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, to refrain yourselves from carnal desires which war against the soul,

But flee thou youthful desires, and pursue justice, faith, charity, and peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

Be not seduced: Evil communications corrupt good manners.

Fly fornication. Every sin that a man doth, is without the body; but he that committeth fornication, sinneth against his own body.

For a harlot is a deep ditch: and a strange woman is a narrow pit.

The mouth of a strange woman is a deep pit: he whom the Lord is angry with, shall fall into it.

That she may keep thee from the woman that is not thine, and from the stranger who sweeteneth her words.

Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the doors of her house.

For the lips of a harlot are like a honeycomb dropping, and her throat is smoother than oil.

That thou mayst be delivered from the strange women, and from the stranger, who softeneth her words:

My son, walk not thou with them, restrain thy foot from their paths.

He that is a little one, let him turn to me. And to the fool she said:

Sat at the door of her house, upon a seat, in a high place of the city,

And catching the young man, she kisseth him, and with an impudent face, flattereth, saying:

I will therefore that the younger should marry, bear children, be mistresses of families, give no occasion to the adversary to speak evil.

Neither is there any thing which is not in my power, or that he hath not delivered to me, but thee, who art his wife: How then can I do this wicked thing, and sin against my God?

Now it happened on it certain day, that Joseph went into the house, and was doing some business without any man with him:

She lieth in wait in the way as a robber, and him whom she shall see unwary, she will kill.
