Is my debate against man, that I should not have just reason to be troubled?


And they said to them: The Lord see and judge, because you have made our savour to stink before Pharao and his servants; and you have given him a sword to kill us.


The evil shall fall down before the good: and the wicked before the gates of the just.


And they marched from mount Hor, by the way that leadeth to the Red Sea, to compass the land of Edom. And the people began to be weary of their journey and labour.


Is not this the word that we spoke to thee in Egypt, saying: Depart from us that we may serve the Egyptians? For it was much better to serve them, than to die in the wilderness.


And they made their life bitter with hard works in clay, and brick, and with all manner of service, wherewith they were overcharged in the works of the earth.


Now after a long time the king of Egypt died. And the children of Israel groaning cried out because of the works: and their cry went up unto God from the works.


The spirit of a man upholdeth his infirmity: but a spirit that is easily angered, who can bear?
