But strong meat is for the perfect; for them who by custom have their senses exercised to the discerning of good and evil.


But Peter and John answering, said to them: If it be just in the sight of God, to hear you rather than God, judge ye.


And he said to them: Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar's: and to God the things that are God's.


Also of the sons of Issachar, men of understanding, that knew all times to order what Israel should do, two hundred principal men: and all the rest of the tribe followed their counsel.


But Peter and the apostles answering, said: We ought to obey God, rather than men.


Ephraim is under oppression, and broken in judgment: because he began to go after filthiness.


The heart of a wise man is in his right hand, and the heart of a fool is in his left hand.


I observe the mouth of the king, and the commandments of the oath of God.


The eyes of a wise man are in his head: the fool walketh in darkness: and I learned that they were to die both alike.


Wisdom shineth in the face of the wise: the eyes of fools are in the ends of the earth.


But the midwives feared God, and did not do as the king of Egypt had commanded; but saved the men children.


Therefore we also, from the day that we heard it, cease not to pray for you, and to beg that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will, in all wisdom, and spiritual understanding:


Whatsoever shall befall the just man, it shall not make him sad: but the wicked shall be filled with mischief.


Let us all hear together the conclusion of the discourse. Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is all man:
