21 And your sin that you had committed, that is, the calf, I took, and burned it with fire: and breaking it into pieces, until it was as small as dust, I threw it into the torrent, which cometh down from the mountain.

And laying hold of the calf which they had made, he burnt it, and beat it to powder, which he strowed into water, and gave thereof to the children of Israel to drink.


For in that day a man shall cast away his idols of silver and his idols of gold, which your hands have made for you to sin.


Because Ephraim hath made many altars to sin: altars are become to him unto sin.


And thou shalt defile the plates of thy graven things of silver, and the garment of thy molten things of gold: and shalt cast them away as the uncleanness of a menstruous woman. Thou shalt say to it: Get thee hence.


And he was exceeding angry against Aaron also, and would have destroyed him; and I prayed in like manner for him.


And all her graven things shall be cut in pieces, and all her wages shall be burnt with fire, and I will bring to destruction all her idols: for they were gathered together of the hire of a harlot, and unto the hire of a harlot they shall return.


Moreover he also removed his mother Maacha, from being the princess in the sacrifices of Priapus, and in the grove which she had consecrated to him. And he destroyed her den, and broke in pieces the filthy idol, and burnt it by the torrent Cedron.


And when he had destroyed the altars, and the groves, and had broken the idols in pieces, and had demolished all profane temples throughout all the land of Israel, he returned to Jerusalem.
