Deuteronomy 8:7 - Douay-Rheims version of The Bible - 1752 version
7 For the Lord thy God will bring thee into a good land, of brooks and of waters, and of fountains: in the plains of which and the hills deep rivers break out:
7 because the LORD your God is bringing you to a wonderful land, a land with streams of water, springs, and wells that gush up in the valleys and on the hills;
7 For the Lord your God will lead you into a good land: a land of brooks and waters and fountains, in which deep rivers burst forth from its plains and mountains,
And knowing their sorrow, I am come down to deliver them out of the hands of the Egyptians: and to bring them out of that land into a good and spacious land, into a land that floweth with milk and honey, to the places of the Chanaanite, and Hethite, and Amorrhite, and Pherezite, and Hevite, and Jebusite.
In that day, I lifted up my hand for them, to bring them out of the land of Egypt, into a land which I had provided for them, flowing with milk and honey, which excelleth amongst all lands.
Till I come, and take you away to a land, like to your own land, a fruitful land, and plentiful in wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of olives, and oil and honey; and you shall live, and not die. Hearken not to Ezechias, who deceiveth you, saying: The Lord will deliver us.
And I brought you into the land of Carmel, to eat the fruit thereof and the best things thereof: and when ye entered in, you defiled my land and made my inheritance an abomination.
And he took of the seed of the land and put it in the ground for seed, that it might take a firm root over many waters: he planted it on the surface of the earth.
We shall come to a people that is secure, into a spacious country; and the Lord will deliver the place to us, in which there is no want of any thing that groweth on the earth.
