Deuteronomy 4:26
32 পৰস্পৰ সংযোগসমূহ

Hear, O ye heavens, the things I speak: let the earth give ear to the words of my mouth.

Let the mountains hear the judgment of the Lord, and the strong foundations of the earth: for the Lord will enter into judgment with his people, and he will plead against Israel.

O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the Lord.

Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this: and, ye gates thereof, be very desolate, saith the Lord.

Hear, O ye heavens, and give ear, O earth, for the Lord hath spoken. I have brought up children, and exalted them: but they have despised me.

When you shall have transgressed the covenant of the Lord your God, which he hath made with you, and shall have served strange gods, and adored them. Then shall the indignation of the Lord rise up quickly and speedily against you: and you shall be taken away from this excellent land, which he hath delivered to you.

Beware then, lest in like manner it vomit you also out, if you do the like things: as it vomited out the nation that was before you.

And they shall fall by the edge of the sword; and shall be led away captives into all nations; and Jerusalem shall be trodden down by the Gentiles; till the times of the nations be fulfilled.

Therefore, ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God: Thus saith the Lord God to the mountains, and to the hills, to the brooks, and to the valleys, and to desolate places, and ruinous walls, and to the cities that are forsaken, that are spoiled, and derided by the rest of the nations round about.

So that the Lord could no longer bear, because of the evil of your doings and because of the abominations which you have committed. Therefore your land is become a desolation and an astonishment and a curse, without an inhabitant, as at this day.

Hear, O earth: Behold, I will bring evils upon this people, the fruits of their own thoughts: because they have not heard my words and they have cast away my law.

And I said: How long, O Lord? And he said: Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land shall be left desolate.

Gather unto me all the ancients of your tribes, and your doctors, and I will speak these words in their hearing: and will call heaven and earth to witness against them.

And he hath cast them out of their land, in anger and in wrath, and in very great indignation: and hath thrown them into a strange land, as it is seen this day.

And I will make the land a wilderness, and a desert, and the proud strength thereof shall fail, and the mountains of Israel shall be desolate, because there is none to pass by them.

Hear, all ye people: and let the earth give ear, and all that is therein: and let the Lord God be a witness to you, the Lord from his holy temple.

For we will destroy this place; because their cry is grown loud before the Lord, who hath sent us to destroy them.

For she will turn away thy son from following me, that he may rather serve strange gods: and the wrath of the Lord will be kindled, and will quickly destroy thee.

But if thou forget the Lord thy God, and follow strange gods, and serve and adore them: behold, now I foretell thee that thou shalt utterly perish.

As the nations, which the Lord destroyed at thy entrance, so shall you also perish, if you be disobedient to the voice of the Lord your God.

And the Lord being angry shut up heaven, that the rain come not down, nor the earth yield her fruit: and you perish quickly from the excellent land, which the Lord will give you.

The Lord shall send upon thee famine and hunger, and a rebuke upon all the works which thou shalt do. Until he consume and destroy thee quickly, for thy most wicked inventions, by which thou hast forsaken me.

May the Lord afflict thee with miserable want, with the fever and with cold, with burning and with heat, and with corrupted air and with blasting: and pursue thee till thou perish.

And all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue and overtake thee, till thou perish: because thou heardst not the voice of the Lord thy God, and didst not keep his commandments and ceremonies which he commanded thee.

Moreover the Lord will bring upon thee all the diseases, and plagues, that are not written in the volume of this law till he consume thee.

If you leave the Lord, and serve strange gods, he will turn, and will afflict you, and will destroy you after all the good he hath done you.

I will take away Israel from the face of the land which I have given them. And the temple which I have sanctified to my name, I will cast out of my sight. And Israel shall be a proverb, and a byword among all people.

So I will cast you forth out of this land, into a land which you know not, nor you fathers: and there you shall serve strange gods, day and night, which shall not give you any rest.

Behold, works are built up against the city to take it: and the city is given into the hands of the Chaldeans, who fight against it, by the sword, and the famine, and the pestilence. And what thou hast spoken is all come to pass, as thou thyself seest.
