Neither is his indignation against the people to be wondered at, since the Lord was angry with me also on your account, and said: Neither shalt thou go in thither.


And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron: Because you have not believed me, to sanctify me before the children of Israel, you shall not bring these people into the land, which I will give them.


And he said to them: I am this day a hundred and twenty years old. I can no longer go out and come in, especially as the Lord also hath said to me: Thou shalt not pass over this Jordan.


And the Lord was angry with me on your account and heard me not, but said to me: It is enough. Speak no more to me of this matter.


For until this present time you are not come to rest, and to the possession, which the Lord your God will give you.


And there shall be no poor nor beggar among you: that the Lord thy God may bless thee in the land which he will give thee in possession.


Paving diligently the way. And thou shalt divide the whole province of thy land equally into three parts: that he who is forced to flee for manslaughter may have near at hand whither to escape.


That innocent blood may not be shed in the midst of the land which the Lord thy God will give thee to possess: lest thou be guilty of blood.


But of those cities that shall be given thee thou shalt suffer none at all to live:


His body shall not remain upon the tree, but shall be buried the same day. For he is accursed of God that hangeth on a tree: and thou shalt not defile thy land, which the Lord thy God shall give thee in possession.


The former husband cannot take her again to wife: because she is defiled, and is become abominable before the Lord: lest thou cause thy land to sin, which the Lord thy God shall give thee to possess.


And when thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God will give thee to possess, and hast conquered it, and dwellest in it:
