Eleven days' journey from Horeb by the way of Mount Seir to Cadesbarne.


And they have not said: Where is the Lord that made us come up out of the land of Egypt? that led us through the desert, through a land uninhabited and unpassable, through a land of drought, and the image of death, through a land wherein no man walked, nor any man dwelt?


And was thy leader in the great and terrible wilderness, wherein there was the serpent burning with his breath, and the scorpion and the dipsas, and no waters at all. Who brought forth streams out of the hardest rock:


He found him in a desert land, in a place of horror, and of vast wilderness. He led him about, and taught him: and he kept him as the apple of his eye.


And they that went to spy out the land returned after forty days, having gone round all the country:


And the children of Israel marched by their troops from the desert of Sinai: and the cloud rested in the wilderness of Pharan.


Was it not thus your fathers did, when I sent from Cadesbarne to view the land?


Turn you, and come to the mountain of the Amorrhites, and to the other places that are next to it: the plains and the hills and the vales towards the south, and by the sea shore: the land of the Chanaanites, and of Libanus, as far as the great river Euphrates.


I said to you: You are come to the mountain of the Amorrhite, which the Lord our God will give to us.


The Lord thy God hath blessed thee in every work of thy hands. The Lord thy God dwelling with thee knoweth thy journey: how thou hast passed through this great wilderness, for forty years, and thou hast wanted nothing.


Of the tribe of Dan, Ammiel the son of Gemalli.


And the inhabitants of this land, (who have heard that thou, O Lord, art among this people, and art seen face to face, and thy cloud protecteth them, and thou goest before them in a pillar of a cloud by day, and in a pillar of fire by night,)


From Cadesbarne even to Gaza. All the land of Gosen even to Gabaon,
