A man that speaketh to his friend with flattering and dissembling words, spreadeth a net for his feet.


A deceitful tongue loveth not truth: and a slippery mouth worketh ruin.


These are murmurers, full of complaints, walking according to their own desires, and their mouth speaketh proud things, admiring persons for gain's sake.


For, lo, the wicked have bent their bow; they have prepared their arrows in the quiver, to shoot in the dark the upright of heart.


AND after five days the high priest Ananias came down, with some of the ancients, and one Tertullus an orator, who went to the governor against Paul.


We accept it always and in all places, most excellent Felix, with all thanksgiving.
