Therefore do you also separate the clean beast from the unclean, and the clean fowl from the unclean. Defile not your souls with beasts, or birds, or any things that move on the earth, and which I have shewn you to be unclean.


And I said: Ah, ah, ah, O Lord God, behold, my soul hath not been defiled, and from my infancy even till now, I have not eaten any thing that died of itself or was torn by beasts, and no unclean flesh hath entered into my mouth.


And he said to them: You know how abominable it is for a man that is a Jew, to keep company or to come unto one of another nation: but God hath shewed to me, to call no man common or unclean.


Who said: Who art thou, Lord? And he: I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. It is hard for thee to kick against the goad.


And his mother answering, said: Not so; but he shall be called John.


The wise answered, saying: Lest perhaps there be not enough for us and for you, go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.


And Peter taking him, began to rebuke him, saying: Lord, be it far from thee, this shall not be unto thee.


The priests shall not eat of any thing that is dead of itself or caught by a beast, whether it be fowl or cattle.


It shall not be so: but go ye men only, and sacrifice to the Lord; for this yourselves also desired. And immediately they were cast out from Pharao's presence.


And Lot said to them: I beseech, thee my Lord,


And behold a leper came and adored him, saying: Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.


Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man: but what cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.


And when they had seen some of his disciples eat bread with common, that is, with unwashed hands, they found fault.


The woman saith to him: Sir, thou hast nothing wherein to draw, and the well is deep; from whence then hast thou living water?


And there came a voice to him: Arise, Peter; kill and eat.


And I answered: Who art thou, Lord? And he said to me: I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom thou persecutest.
