After which David's heart struck him, because he had cut off the hem of Saul's robe.


And Gedeon sent messengers into all mount Ephraim, saying: Come down to meet Madian, and take the waters before them to Bethbera and the Jordan. And all Ephraim shouted, and took the waters before them and the Jordan as far as Bethbera.


And they buried him in the borders of his possession in Thamnathsare in mount Ephraim, on the north side of mount Gaas.

And all Israel departed from David, and followed Seba the son of Bochri: but the men of Juda stuck to their king from the Jordan unto Jerusalem.


And Joab answering said: God forbid, God forbid that I should I do not throw down, nor destroy.


Jeroboam also the son of Nabat, an Ephrathite of Sareda, a servant of Solomon, whose mother was named Sarua, a widow woman, lifted up his hand against the king.


And when he was dead, all the men of Israel that were with him, returned to their homes.
