And David said to him: If thou come with me, thou wilt be a burden to me.


Besides their men-servants, and women-servants, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred and thirty-seven: and among them singing men, and singing women two hundred.


There shall no evil come to thee: nor shall the scourge come near thy dwelling.


If so be you have tasted that the Lord is sweet.


But strong meat is for the perfect; for them who by custom have their senses exercised to the discerning of good and evil.


I heaped together for myself silver and gold, and the wealth of kings, and provinces: I made me singing men, and singing women, and the delights of the sons of men, cups and vessels to serve to pour out wine:


Doth not the ear discern words, and the palate of him that eateth, the taste?


And you shall not find iniquity in my tongue: neither shall folly sound in my mouth.


Beside their men-servants and women-servants, who were seven thousand three hundred thirty-seven: and among them singing men, and singing women, two hundred forty-five.


And the king said to Absalom: Nay, my son, do not ask that we should all come, and be chargeable to thee. And when he pressed him, and he would not go, he blessed him.


But if the number be less than may suffice to eat the lamb, he shall take unto him his neighbour that joineth to his house, according to the number of souls which may be enough to eat the lamb.


She answered: Go. The maid went and called her mother.


I thy servant will go on a little way from the Jordan with thee. I need not this recompense.
