And Saul said to his servant: Behold we will go: but what shall we carry to the man of God? The bread is spent in our bags: and we have no present to make to the man of God, nor any thing at all.


They gathered up therefore, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above to them that had eaten.


There is a boy here that hath five barley loaves, and two fishes; but what are these among so many?


And Eliseus said: Hear ye the word of the Lord: Thus saith the Lord: To-morrow about this time a bushel of fine hour shall be sold for a stater, and two bushels of barley for a stater, in the gate of Samaria.


And through the land of Salisa, and had not found them, they passed also through the land of Salim; and they were not there: and through the land of Jemini, and found them not.


If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great matter if we reap your carnal things?


And Eliseus returned to Galgal. And there was a famine in the land; and the sons of the prophets dwelt before him. And he said to one of his servants: Set on the great pot, and boil pottage for the sons of the prophets.


Butter of the herd, and milk of the sheep with the fat of lambs, and of the rams of the breed of Basan. And goats with the marrow of wheat, and might drink the purest blood of the grape.


And you shall offer in that place your holocausts and victims, the tithes and first-fruits of your hands and your vows and gifts, the firstborn of your herds and your sheep.


A land of wheat, and barley, and vineyards, wherein fig-trees and pomegranates, and oliveyards grow: a land of oil and honey.


And the feast of the harvest of the first-fruits of thy work, whatsoever thou hast sown in the field. The feast also in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in all thy corn out of the field.


And let him that is instructed in the word, communicate to him that instructeth him, in all good things.


Take also with thee ten loaves, and cracknels, and a pot of honey; and go to him: for he will tell thee what shall become of this child.


And the king of Syria sad to him: Go, and I will send a letter to the king of Israel. And he departed, and took with him ten talents of silver, and six thousand pieces of gold, and tell changes of raiment.


All the best of the oil, and of the wine, and of the corn, whatsoever first-fruits they offer to the Lord, I have given them to thee.


All the first ripe of the fruits, that the ground bringeth forth, and which are brought to the Lord, shall be for thy use. He that is clean in thy house shall eat them.
