20 Therefore I will gather thee to thy fathers: and thou shalt be gathered to thy sepulchre in peace, that thy eyes may not see all the evils which I will bring upon this place.

And when thou shalt have ended thy days to go to thy fathers, I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons: and I will establish his kingdom.


And decaying he died in a good old age, having lived a long time, and being full of days: and was gathered to his people.


Weep not for him that is dead nor bemoan him with your tears: lament him that goeth away, for he shall return no more nor see his native country.


For now I will gather thee to thy fathers, and thou shalt be brought to thy tomb in peace: and thy eyes shall not see all the evil that I will bring upon this place, and the inhabitants thereof. They therefore reported to the king all that she had said,


And the Lord said to Moses: Behold, thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, and this people rising up will go a-fornicating after strange gods in the land, to which it goeth in to dwell. There will they forsake me, and will make void the covenant, which I have made with them,
