Where is the god of Emath, and of Arphad? Where is the god of Sepharvaim, of Ana, and of Ava? Have they delivered Samaria out of my hand?


Emath also in the borders thereof, and Tyre, and Sidon: for they have taken to themselves to be exceeding wise.


Against Damascus. Emath is confounded and Arphad: for they have heard very bad tidings, they are troubled as in the sea: through care they could not rest.


But the army of the Chaldeans pursued after them: and they took Sedecias in the plain of the desert of Jericho. And when they had taken him, they brought him to Nabuchodonosor, king of Babylon to Reblatha, which is in the land of Emath: and he gave judgment upon him.


And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand the second time to possess the remnant of his people, which shall be left from the Assyrians, and from Egypt, and from Phetros, and from Ethiopia, and from Elam, and from Sennaar, and from Emath, and from the islands of the sea.


And the king of the Assyrians brought people from Babylon, and from Cutha, and from Avah, and from Emath, and from Sepharvaim: and placed them in the cities of Samaria instead of the children of Israel. And they possessed Samaria, and dwelt in the cities thereof.


From which they shall come to Emath, as far as the borders of Sedada.


The ground, fat or barren, woody or without trees. Be of good courage, and bring us of the fruits of the land. Now it was the time when the first ripe grapes are fit to be eaten.


Have any of the gods of the nations delivered their land from the hand of the king of Assyria?
