32 Till I come, and take you away to a land, like to your own land, a fruitful land, and plentiful in wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of olives, and oil and honey; and you shall live, and not die. Hearken not to Ezechias, who deceiveth you, saying: The Lord will deliver us.

And the Lord thy God doth always visit it: and his eyes are on it from the beginning of the year unto the end thereof.


And knowing their sorrow, I am come down to deliver them out of the hands of the Egyptians: and to bring them out of that land into a good and spacious land, into a land that floweth with milk and honey, to the places of the Chanaanite, and Hethite, and Amorrhite, and Pherezite, and Hevite, and Jebusite.


And Nabuzardan the commander of the army carried away the rest of the people that remained in the city, and the fugitives that had gone over to the king of Babylon, and the remnant of the common people.


And the king of the Assyrians carried away Israel into Assyria, and placed them in Hala, and in Habor by the rivers of Gozan in the cities of the Medes:


Till the Lord removed Israel from his face, as he had spoken in the hand of all his servants the prophets. And Israel was carried away out of their land to Assyria, unto this day.


And in the ninth year of Osee, the king of the Assyrians took Samaria, and carried Israel away to Assyria. And he placed them in Hala and Habor by the river of Gozan, in the cities of the Medes.


If the Lord be favourable, he will bring us into it, and give us a land flowing with milk and honey.

Thus shall you say to Ezechias king of Juda: Let not thy God deceive thee, in whom thou trustest. And do not say: Jerusalem shall not be delivered into the hands of the king of the Assyrians.


Many say to my soul: There is no salvation for him in his God.


And I will go in to the altar of God: to God who giveth joy to my youth.
