In those days, the Lord began to send into Juda Rasin king of Syria, and Phacee the son of Romelia.


Forasmuch as this people hath cast away the waters of Siloe, that go with silence, and hath rather taken Rasin, and the son of Romelia:


Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign. Behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and his name shall be called Emmanuel.


And to his son I will give one tribe: that there may remain a lamp for my servant David before me always in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen, that my name might be there.


But for David's sake the Lord his God gave him a lamp in Jerusalem, to set up his son after him, and to establish Jerusalem:


Before thy malice was laid open: as it is at this time, making thee a reproach of the daughters of Syria and of all the daughters of Palestine round about thee, that encompass thee on all sides.
