13 But Joas king of Israel took Amasias, king of Juda, the son of Joas, the son of Ochozias, in Bethsames; and brought him into Jerusalem. And he broke down the wall of Jerusalem, from the gate of Ephraim to the gate of the corner, four hundred cubits.

And the people went forth, and brought. And they made themselves tabernacles every man on the top of his house, and in their courts, and in the courts of the house of God, and in the street of the water gate, and in the street of the gate of Ephraim.


And all the land shall return even to the desert, from the hill to Remmon to the south of Jerusalem: and she shall be exalted, and shall dwell in her own place, from the gate of Benjamin even to the place of the former gate, and even to the gate of the corners: and from the tower of Hananeel even to the king's winepresses.


Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that the city shall be built to the Lord from the tower of Hanameel even to the gate of the corner.


And the two choirs of them that gave praise stood still at the house of God: and I and the half of the magistrates with me.


Because every one that exalteth himself, shall be humbled; and he that humbleth himself, shall be exalted.


Humiliation followeth the proud: and glory shall uphold the humble of spirit.


Pride goeth before destruction: and the spirit is lifted up before a fall.


And at the return of the year, king Nabuchodonosor sent, and brought him to Babylon, carrying away at the same time the most precious vessels of the house of the Lord. And he made Sedecias his uncle king over Juda and Jerusalem.


Against him came up Nabuchodonosor king of the Chaldeans, and led him bound in chains into Babylon.


Therefore he brought upon them the captains of the army of the king of the Assyrians. And they took Manasses, and carried him bound with chains and fetters to Babylon.


So they took the king, and brought him to the king of Babylon to Reblatha; and he gave judgment upon him.


And all the army of the Chaldees, which was with the commander of the troops, broke down the walls of Jerusalem round about.
