And they received him not, because his face was of one going to Jerusalem.


And it came to pass, when the days of his assumption were accomplishing, that he steadfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem.


For this now hear the word of the Lord, ye remnant of Juda: Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: If you set your faces to go into Egypt and enter in to dwell there:


And it came to pass after this, that David defeated the Philistines, and humbled them, and took away Geth, and her daughters out of the hands of the Philistines,


And Baria, and Sama were heads of their kindreds that dwelt in Aialon: these drove away the inhabitants of Geth.


And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall escape the sword of Hazael shall be slain by Jehu: and whosoever shall escape the sword of Jehu shall be slain by Eliseus.


And David arose and went away, both he and the six hundred men that were with him, to Achis the son of Maoch, king of Geth.


Then Asa took all the silver and gold that remained in the treasures of the house of the Lord, and in the treasures of the king's house, and delivered it into the hands of his servants. And sent them to Benadad son of Tabremon the son of Hezion, king of Syria, who dwelt in Damascus, saying:


In those days the Lord began to be weary of Israel: and Hazael ravaged them in all the coasts of Israel,


From the Jordan eastward, all the land of Galaad, and Gad, and Ruben, and Manasses, from Aroer, which is upon the torrent Arnon and Galaad, and Basan.


And the wrath of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and he delivered them into the hand of Hazael the king of Syria, and into the hand of Benadad the son of Hazael, all days.


And when he had gathered together the silver and gold that could be found in the house of the Lord, and in the king's treasures, he sent it for a present to the king of the Assyrians.


They shall all come to the prey, their face is like a burning wind: and they shall gather together captives as the sand.


As the sacrifice for sin is offered, so is also that for a trespass: the same shall be the law of both these sacrifices. It shall belong to the priest that offereth it.


And every sacrifice of flour that is baked in the oven, and whatsoever is dressed on the grid-iron, or in the frying-pan, shall be the priest's that offereth it:


These therefore shalt thou take of the things that are sanctified, and are offered to the Lord. Every offering, and sacrifice, and whatsoever is rendered to me for sin and for trespass, and becometh holy of holies, shall be for thee and thy sons.
