Amplified Bible - Classic Edition

4 For while we are still in this tent, we groan under the burden and sigh deeply (weighed down, depressed, oppressed)–not that we want to put off the body (the clothing of the spirit), but rather that we would be further clothed, so that what is mortal (our dying body) may be swallowed up by life [after the resurrection].

2 Corinthians 5:4
8 পৰস্পৰ সংযোগসমূহ

For in this also we groan, desiring to be clothed upon with our habitation that is from heaven.

He shall cast death down headlong forever. And the Lord God shall wipe away tears from every face. And the reproach of his people he shall take away from off the whole earth. For the Lord hath spoken it.

But I think it meet as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance.

My generation is at an end; and it is rolled away from me, as a shepherd's tent. My life is cut off, as by a weaver: whilst I was yet but beginning, he cut me off. From morning even to night thou wilt make an end of me.

And not only it, but ourselves also, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption of the sons of God, the redemption of our body.

Behold, I tell you a mystery. We shall all indeed rise again: but we shall not all be changed.
