And do not forget to do good, and to impart; for by such sacrifices God's favour is obtained.

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the commandment of God our Savior, and of Christ Jesus our hope:

For what glory is it, if committing sin, and being buffeted for it, you endure? But if doing well you suffer patiently; this is thankworthy before God.

For he that in this serveth Christ, pleaseth God, and is approved of men.

Be you also as living stones built up, a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

For the rest therefore, brethren, we pray and beseech you in the Lord Jesus, that as you have received from us, how you ought to walk, and to please God, so also you would walk, that you may abound the more.

That you may walk worthy of God, in all things pleasing; being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God:

And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.

Filled with the fruit of justice, through Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

But if any widow have children, or grandchildren, let her learn first to govern her own house, and to make a return of duty to her parents: for this is acceptable before God.

But I have all, and abound: I am filled, having received from Epaphroditus the things you sent, an odour of sweetness, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God.

Tell ye, and come, and consult together: who hath declared this from the beginning? Who hath foretold this from that time? Have not I the Lord, and there is no God else besides me? A just God and a saviour, there is none besides me.

Who hath delivered us and called us by his holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the times of the world.

For therefore we labor and are reviled, because we hope in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, especially of the faithful.
