Therefore will I lament and howl: I will go stripped and naked: I will make a wailing like the dragons, and a mourning like the ostriches.


At that same time, the Lord spoke by the hand of Isaias the son of Amos, saying: Go, and loose the sackcloth from off thy loins, and take off thy shoes from thy feet. And he did so, and went naked and barefoot.


And David returned to bless his own house. And Michol the daughter of Saul, coming out to meet David, said: How glorious was the king of Israel to-day, uncovering himself before the handmaids of his servants, and was naked, as if one of the buffoons should be naked.


And all that heard him, were astonished, and said: Is not this he who persecuted in Jerusalem those that called upon this name: and came hither for that intent, that he might carry them bound to the chief priests?


And David danced with all his might before the Lord. And David was girded with a linen ephod.


The hearer of the words of God hath said. He that hath beheld the vision of the Almighty. He that falleth, and so his eyes are opened:


And the spirit of the Lord shall come upon thee. And thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be changed into another man.


And Samuel saw Saul no more till the day of his death: nevertheless Samuel mourned for Saul, because the Lord repented that he had made him king over Israel.


And the day after, the evil spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied in the midst of his house. And David played with his hand as at other times. And Saul held a spear in his hand,
