35 পৰস্পৰ সংযোগসমূহ

Woe to thee Moab: thou art undone, O people of Chamos. He hath given his sons to flight, and his daughters into captivity to Sehon the king of the Amorrhites.

Are not those things which thy god Chamos possesseth due to thee by right? But what the Lord our God hath obtained by conquest shall be our possession.

And you took unto you the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Rempham, figures which you made to adore them. And I will carry you away beyond Babylon.

And a hymn being said, they went out unto mount Olivet.

And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is over against Jerusalem toward the east: and the mount of Olives shall be divided in the midst thereof to the east, and to the west with a very great opening, and half of the mountain shall be separated to the north, and half thereof to the south.

That grieveth the needy and the poor: that taketh away by violence: that restoreth not the pledge: and that lifteth up his eyes to idols: that committeth abomination:

And Moab shall be ashamed of Chamos, as the house of Israel was ashamed of Bethel, in which they trusted.

They do not consider in their mind, nor know, nor have the thought to say: I have burnt part of it in the fire, and I have baked bread. Upon the coals thereof I have broiled flesh and have eaten. And of the residue thereof shall I make an idol? Shall I fall down before the stock of a tree?

And he defiled Topheth, which is in the valley of the son of Ennom: that no man should consecrate there his son or his daughter through fire to Moloch.

But David went up by the ascent of mount Olivet, going up and weeping, walking barefoot, and with his head covered: and all the people that were with them went up with their heads covered weeping.

Cursed be the man that maketh a graven and molten thing, the abomination of the Lord, the work of the hands of artificers, and shall put it in a secret place. And all the people shall answer and say: Amen.

Inquire carefully and diligently the truth of the thing by looking well into it: and if thou find that which is said to be certain, and that this abomination hath been really committed,

Destroy all the inhabitants of that land. Beat down their pillars, and break in pieces their statues, and waste all their high places,

I will destroy your high places, and break your idols. You shall fall among the ruins of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you.

And they have built the high places of Baal which are in the valley of the son of Ennom, to consecrate their sons and their daughters to Moloch: which I commanded them not, neither entered it into my heart that they should do this abomination and cause Juda to sin.

Woe to thee, Moab, thou hast perished, O people of Chamos: for thy sons, and thy daughters are taken captives.

For the wickedness of Jacob is all this, and for the sins of the house of Israel. What is the wickedness of Jacob? is it not Samaria? and what are the high places of Juda? are they not Jerusalem?
