And now, little children, abide in him, that when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be confounded by him at his coming.


Let us go therefore with confidence to the throne of grace: that we may obtain mercy, and find grace in seasonable aid.


For our glory is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity of heart and sincerity of God, and not in carnal wisdom, but in the grace of God, we have conversed in this world: and more abundantly towards you.


And this is the confidence which we have towards him: That, whatsoever we shall ask according to his will, he heareth us.


Hear, O Lord, my prayer: and let my cry come to thee.


In this is the charity of God perfected with us, that we may have confidence in the day of judgment: because as he is, we also are in this world.


Let us draw near with a true heart in fulness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with clean water.


Then shalt thou abound in delights in the Almighty: and shalt lift up thy face to God.


For I am not conscious to myself of any thing, yet am I not hereby justified; but he that judgeth me, is the Lord.


My justification, which I have begun to hold, I will not forsake: for my heart doth not reprehend me in all my life.


I will therefore that men pray in every place, lifting up pure hands, without anger and contention.


Hast thou faith? Have it to thyself before God. Blessed is he that condemneth not himself in that which he alloweth.


In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.


Dearly beloved, I write not a new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which you have heard.


Dearly beloved, we are now the sons of God; and it hath not yet appeared what we shall be. We know, that, when he shall appear, we shall be like to him: because we shall see him as he is.


For if our heart reprehend us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
