I am the Lord who search the heart and prove the reins: who give to every one according to his way and according to the fruit of his devices.


Neither is there any creature invisible in his sight: but all things are naked and open to his eyes, to whom our speech is.


For I am not conscious to myself of any thing, yet am I not hereby justified; but he that judgeth me, is the Lord.


You are of God, little children, and have overcome him. Because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.


Shall a man be hid in secret places and I not see him, saith the Lord? Do not I fill heaven and earth, saith the Lord?


Now this is the thing in which thou art not justified. I will answer thee, that God is greater than man.


He said to him the third time: Simon, son of John, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved, because he had said to him the third time: Lovest thou me? And he said to him: Lord, thou knowest all things: thou knowest that I love thee. He said to him: Feed my sheep.


And I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am he that searcheth the reins and hearts, and I will give to every one of you according to your works. But to you I say,


But thou shalt consider with thy eyes: and shalt see the reward of the wicked.


Knowing that he, that is such an one, is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned by his own judgment.


My justification, which I have begun to hold, I will not forsake: for my heart doth not reprehend me in all my life.


But they hearing this, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest. And Jesus alone remained, and the woman standing in the midst.


For God making promise to Abraham, because he had no one greater by whom he might swear, swore by himself,


When they had heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they thought to put them to death.


Who is he that shall condemn? Christ Jesus that died, yea that is risen also again; who is at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.


In this we know that we are of the truth: and in his sight shall persuade our hearts.


Dearly beloved, if our heart do not reprehend us, we have confidence towards God:
