Psalm 79:3

They will die of horrible diseases and of war and starvation. No one will give them a funeral or bury them, and their bodies will be food for the birds and wild animals. And what's left will lie on the ground like manure.


And everyone who listens to them will be killed, just as they deserve. Their dead bodies will be thrown out into the streets of Jerusalem, because their families will also be dead, and no one will be left to bury them.


For three and a half days the people of every nation, tribe, language, and race will stare at the bodies of these two witnesses and refuse to let them be buried.


On the streets of Babylon is found the blood of God's people and of his prophets, and everyone else.”


I could tell that the woman was drunk on the blood of God's people who had given their lives for Jesus. This surprising sight amazed me,


They poured out the blood of your people and your prophets. So you gave them blood to drink as they deserve!”


It is exactly as the Scriptures say, “For you we face death all day long. We are like sheep on their way to be butchered.”


That's why you will be held guilty for the murder of every good person, beginning with the good man Abel. This also includes Barachiah's son Zechariah, the man you murdered between the temple and the altar.


When it strikes, I will kill so many people that their bodies will cover the ground like manure. No one will be left to bury them or to mourn.


I will punish you in four different ways: You will be killed in war and your bodies dragged off by dogs, your flesh will be eaten by birds, and your bones will be chewed on by wild animals.


and their bones lie scattered like crushed rocks on top of a grave.


Why should nations ask us, “Where is your God?” Let us and the other nations see you take revenge for your servants who died a violent death.


The Lord warns everyone who has sinned against him, “I'll strike you blind! Then your blood and your insides will gush out like vomit.
