Trust God, my friends, and always tell him each of your concerns. God is our place of safety.


Jesus asked his disciples, “When I sent you out without a moneybag or a traveling bag or sandals, did you need anything?” “No!” they answered.


Offer the proper sacrifices and trust the Lord.


Show that I am right, Lord! I stay true to myself, and I have trusted you without doubting.


Be completely faithful to the Lord your God, love him, and do whatever he tells you. The Lord is the only one who can give life, and he will let you live a long time in the land that he promised to your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.


None of you respect the Lord or obey his servant. You walk in the dark instead of the light; you don't trust the name of the Lord your God.


because the Lord had appeared to Isaac and said: Isaac, stay away from Egypt! I will show you where I want you to go.


Please listen to what I have to say. If the Lord has turned you against me, maybe a sacrifice will make him change his mind. But if some people have turned you against me, I hope the Lord will punish them! They have forced me to leave the land that belongs to the Lord and have told me to worship foreign gods.


The Lord cares for his nation, just as shepherds care for their flocks. He carries the lambs in his arms, while gently leading the mother sheep.


You will live there as a foreigner, but I will be with you and bless you. I will keep my promise to your father Abraham by giving this land to you and your descendants.


Elijah looked around, and by his head was a jar of water and some baked bread. He sat up, ate and drank, then lay down and went back to sleep.


With all your heart you must trust the Lord and not your own judgment.
