Open the city gates for a law-abiding nation that is faithful to God.


“Our Lord and God, you are worthy to receive glory, honor, and power. You created all things, and by your decision they are and were created.”


The rulers of this world didn't know anything about this wisdom. If they had known about it, they would not have nailed the glorious Lord to a cross.


The heavens announce, “The Lord brings justice!” Everyone sees God's glory.


I, the Lord All-Powerful, will send my messenger to prepare the way for me. Then suddenly the Lord you are looking for will appear in his temple. The messenger you desire is coming with my promise, and he is on his way.


I will shake the nations, and their treasures will be brought here. Then the brightness of my glory will fill this temple.


The Lord's glory was in the cloud, and the light from it was so bright that the priests could not stay inside to do their work.


Christ is now in heaven, where he sits at the right side of God. All angels, authorities, and powers are under his control.


They put the chest inside a tent that David had set up for it. David worshiped the Lord by sacrificing animals and burning them on an altar,


Let the gift of undeserved grace and the understanding that come from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ help you keep on growing. Praise Jesus now and forever! Amen.


After the Lord Jesus had said these things to the disciples, he was taken back up to heaven where he sat down at the right side of God.


and I promise that this new temple will be more glorious than the first one. I will also bless this city with peace.


Come to your new home, Lord, you and the sacred chest with all its power.


My friends, if you have faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ, you won't treat some people better than others.


The priests carried the chest into the most holy place and put it under the winged creatures,


Our Lord, your mighty power makes the king glad, and he celebrates victories that you have given him.


The king is highly honored. You have let him win victories that have made him famous.


People of Jerusalem, open your gates! Repair the road to the city and clear it of stones; raise a banner to help the nations find their way.


Mount Zion in Jerusalem, guardian of my people, you will rule again.
